Boston Harbor Islands: Spectacle Island
The first stop on my ferry ride was Spectacle Island. It's small, but does offer a sandy beach and a visitor center which offers information about the island's history. The walking trail circling and ascending this island's mound will show you Boston's skyline from a new perspective. If you're a fan of watching airplanes land, the unobstructed views of Logan International Airport provide entertainment.
