French toast with fresh strawberries—the picture from South End Buttery explains itself! Great brunch location.
*Tip, they also have an amazing deli, so stop in to pack the perfect picnic. Self-described as "an eclectic combination of fresh ingredients," they combine American and English foods. It's no surprise they're a frequent winner of 'Boston's Best!'
South End has amazing restaurants. When I first moved to Boston, I lived close to the quintessential neighborhood bakery-restaurant called South End Buttery. They have now opened a few delis—one right next to the original restaurant. It is easy to drop in to one of these, and "carry out" bags and bags of food you didn't think you needed.
