Songshan Cultural Park

Taipei’s Creative Headquarters
Opened in the 1930s as a progressive factory specializing in tobacco products, Songshan Cultural Park's massive urban space has been transformed into one of the most amazing creative hubs in the world. Rather than allow the building to succumb to urban blight, Taipei turned the former factory area into a space for artists, filmmakers, and the public to all work together.

For visitors, a walk around the old warehouses is an interesting glimpse into old Taipei, but even more interesting is the Taiwan Design Museum. Devoted to beautiful but useful design innovations, this is a great place to wander around and marvel at the city's creativity.
