When Melissa wants “a decadent French Quarter dinner in an atmosphere that's casual, but modern and swanky,” she heads to SoBou at the W Hotel on Chartres Street. “Last time I was there,” she says, “I had a dish called the Louisiana Geaux Fish and Blue Crab, with saffron and lemon garlic butter poached blue crab and barrel-aged cranberry gin braised collard greens. It rocked my world. Also, their former Bar Chef won Bartender of the Year from the Eater Awards. I've seen SoBou's stellar team at work, and I know the honor is well deserved.”
