Step into A Dream at the SLS Hotel South Beach
The 142-room SLS Hotel South Beach opened late last year, combining rich Art Deco style with a modern edge. World-famous designer Phillipe Stark uses his imaginational dreams to construct the abstract style hotel, with dark hallways and brightly colored guestrooms. Some suites were designed by rocker Lenny Kravitz, blending contemporary influences with Latin/Asian accents. The restaurants are garnering huge buzz. The Bazaar, by James Beard chef José Andrés, offers modern twists on Spanish dishes. Be sure to try the abstract, bite sized take on a bagel and lox along with the smoking, sorbet-style cocktails with liquid nitrogen. Master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi’s Dragon Lounge features innovative sushi and robata. If you are hoping to run into celebrities, this is where you'll find them. Also check out the poolside Hyde Beach for dancing and innovative cocktails.
