Child-Friendly Park in Center of CityThe large park by Linnéplatsen is called Slottskogen, which means Forest of the Castle. Unfortunately, there is no castle, but this is still a haven for locals of all ages. Friends and workmates celebrate the summer with drinks and snacks on the vast lawns and by playing the ancient game of kubb (where you have to knock over wooden blocks by throwing batons at them) and brännball (similar to softball). It's the perfect park for kids, too, with a children's zoo where you can pet little goats and pigs, and a pond containing penguins. There's also a great playground area with swings, climbing frames, and a long, winding slide.
