Sixty million years in the making yet discovered in 1937, Skyline Caverns is the closest set of caverns the D.C. area. Highlights feature unique stalactites and stalagmites, three underground streams, and the 37-foot Rainbow Waterfall. However, the delicate and rare anthodite rooms are their biggest draw. Each of these spiky, bright white crystalline formations make Skyline one of the only show caves in the world to house them.
