In a fit of passion, I left in the dark to fit in an early morning bike ride in Oakland. Riders climb out of Oakland up Tunnel Drive and to Skyline Blvd where the sweeping views from this thoroughfare never disappoint. On a good day, the Oakland hills are shrouded in fog and you would never know that San Francisco
lies on the other side. On this particular morning, the fog was just beginning to clear, indicating a beautiful spring day ahead and with the early sun illuminating the sleeping city just below, and far beyond my bike and I. I held my camera over my spinning front wheel and snapped this shot.
