Rapids for Adventure
The Skykomish River runs for 29 miles with several headwater tributaries - making it ideal for river rafting, hiking and the odd fly fisherman! Draining west of the Cascade Mountains, the river flows towards Puget Sound. The great northern Railway was built along the river and is the site for one of the greatest railroad tradegies in American history - the Wellington Disaster.

Stop along the way in the town of Skycomish or Gold Bar for local food and stories.
