Av. de Jaume III, 9, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
Sky BarThe reason most people visit the Sky Bar at the Hotel Almudaina is not the food, though it is pretty good. Instead the main draw is the view, especially at sunset, of Palma's cathedral glowing in the golden light at dusk. (You can also see, looking the other direction, the remains of the Berber fortress, though they aren't quite as magnificent as the cathedral.) The Sky Bar sits on the eighth floor of the hotel, with another smaller deck one level above it. The menu is international (and the diners are too), with burgers, pasta, and fish cooked tempura style sitting side-by-side on the menu. If you want to enjoy some local favorites, the cheese and meat platters focus on products from the Balearic Islands, and there are three different flavors of croquettes to choose from (squid, parmesan, and foie gras).
