The Skagway Museum offers a look at the full history of Skagway, with exhibits not only covering the Klondike Gold Rush era, but also what happened before and after. The museum is located inside the legendary city hall building, constructed with granite (which makes it Alaska’s first stone building). Inside, you’ll find items ranging from a prehistoric woolly mammoth tusk to a Tlingit war canoe and Native Alaskan handicrafts. The gold-rush-themed displays include tools, supplies and gambling equipment.
