Skafferiet i Visby
When rummaging aroud the narrow streets of medieval walled town of Visby, you want a place to take a fika – the Swedish wood for a coffee and a snack – that is suitably charming and historic. Skafferiet (the name means The Pantry) fits the bill perfectly. The building dates back to 1774 and it is just the place for a plate of saffron pancakes, a traditional cinnamon bun, or a sandwich with a cup of locally roasted coffee. Most of the cakes and pastries are baked on the premises.
