Six Senses Maxwell SingaporeWhy we love it: A wellness-oriented retreat with sustainability savvy
- Weekly yoga and meditation classes
- Two dynamic dining options
- Bespoke furnishings and earth-friendly amenities
The team at this luxury hotel line considers the environment to play a crucial role at all of its properties, which are now found across 14 countries worldwide. That philosophy extends to the Six Senses Maxwell, a colonial-style heritage building within Singapore’s bustling Chinatown that opened just this December. Find luxurious, nature-friendly touches throughout the 138 guestrooms, from Naturalmat organic mattresses and ethically sourced Wenge hardwood floors to organic cotton bed linens by Beaumont & Brown and organic cotton towels by The Madison Collection. Custom furnishings and original artworks (such as Italian handmade vintage rugs and clawfoot tubs) were chosen by French designer Jacques Garcia, who helmed the property’s design. The team will soon be debuting spa pods for holistic therapies, but in the meantime, guests can experience wellness twice a week with complimentary yoga and meditation classes or within the comfort of their own rooms with an energy chime and OH-Ball massage roller. Come dinner time, guests have two options for hunger fixes: Cook & Tras Social Library (with Singapore-inspired small plates and a bespoke beverage program) and Murray Terrace Brasserie (with an emphasis on seasonal, southern European fare).
