Soak up the sun on one of 17 sandy beaches in Sitges, an easy half-hour train ride from Barcelona. After a dip in the Med, sample the local specialty, xató, an endive and fish salad, and grab a bottle of Malvasia dessert wine for the road. Don’t miss the Cau Ferrat Museum (on Carrer Fonollar), once the home of Santiago Rusiñol. It houses a small but important collection of works by the artist and his contemporaries.
