Sistine Chapel

Michaelangelo's masterpiece - Sistine Chapel Ceiling
When I walked into the World's largest Church, I had two feelings : I felt lucky and exhilarated. But when I started walking under the epitome of Renaissance art, I had a feeling that has no defination or boundaries. The Biblical narration of Creation of human kind, the downfall and salvation illuminating on the top my head and as far as I could see is a work of wonder. It is a work of God for me. The creation of the Frescoes on the Chapel ceiling is magical, it is a work of divine concentration and it makes me feel proud to be born and to be able to see it. It is a must see on the bucket list!

In July 2010, my son’s high school honor choir had the extraordinary opportunity to sing in the Sistine Chapel during a half-hour private tour. There were 32 students in the mixed choir and about twice as many adult relatives & chaperones. When the singing concluded, many of us were in tears. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
