Hearts were broken when Sirkus, the esteemed downtown Reykjavík bar -beloved of Björk who filmed her “Triumph of the Heart” video in there - closed to make way for a new hotel. Fast forward a few years, and Sirkus lives again - albeit on the islands to the south, the Faroe Islands. Decked out in tropical decor, the inviting three-story space feels warmer than the chilly Tórshavn surroundings but, with beer and burger specials and a busy calendar of live music, the crowd is always cool.
