This is one of my favorite streets in the old part of Shanghai – SiNan Lu (Road). It is a hidden street, probably a mere 1KM north to south, with lot of historical stories around, with one particularly the former residence of Sun Yat-sen, which makes it more mysterious with the name of the street. Aging French architecture hides within two sides along the thick buttonwoods, few renovated into cafe with great ancient feels, some remain broken and dreary. I always start my city walk from here and it always gives me great rewards of new surprises.
