Despite the heat, the experience of walking through the ancient city of Angkor was rather humbling. As I walked through the ruins, I imagined what it would've looked like back in the day when it was first built. I was blown away by the fact that it stood once as a temple for worship. By size, Angkor supersedes the Cathedrals of Europe. Bayon was the highlight for me. Seeing the many faces of Buddha in these ruins was strangely zen.
