A spirited sushi house with offers warm and cold sake, traditional ramen options, and house made noodles. It’s an unpretentious sushi house with a genuinely fun-loving staff. I got the feeling that they really liked working there.
Thankfully, the sushi chefs take their craft very seriously--very important when sushi is involved. Often that comes with 5-star prices; that wasn’t case at Shigezo. The quality was high; but they weren’t above offering a properly discounted sushi happy hour awash with matcha and soju driven cocktail specials.
Bring friends or a date you want to really talk to.
Be sure to play the drums on your way out to show your appreciation to the house. You’ll know what I mean when you get there.
