Of the 14 idyllic powdered-sand beaches on St. Barts, these two are the easiest to reach. Shell Beach is just a short walk from the town of Gustavia. As befits the name, the shoreline here is covered with millions of shells. It’s a great place for a quick dip and a lot of beachcombing. St. Jean, actually two beaches bisected by the Eden Rock resort, is perfect for a long stroll. Afterward, you can stop for lunch with a view at one of the many restaurants along the sparkling sands. Note: Topless sunbathing is common.
