Sheldon Museum & Cultural Center
Learn about Tlingit culture, pioneer days and the army post of Fort William H. Seward at this museum. The institution’s namesake, Steve Sheldon, came to Haines in 1911 and began acquiring objects for what would become the foundation of the museum's collection. The building features two galleries that focus on native and nonnative settlements in Haines and the Chilkat Valley area.
