Great 'pulled' milk tea in a colonial setting
Shamian Island was a former port where Europeans used to live during the Qing dynasty. The island is filled with colonial mansions and old buildings with tree lined avenues and a park that offers respite from the crazy busy streets of Guangzhou. There's also good hot milk tea by the street done by waiters in bow ties, for you to take your tea on the go. Not quite the same as "teh tarik" pulled tea in Singapore, but still a fairly good cuppa tea.
