This pleasant coastal park sweeps from the small boat harbor to the Alaska SeaLife Center, encompassing beaches, picnic areas, a skate zone and sites for tents and RVs. Follow the shoreline path from Mile 5 of the Iditarod National Historic Trail to Mile 0, the original starting point. En route, watch for the old Seward railroad depot and the Founders Monument, a stone cairn topped by a steam-engine weather vane, commemorating the 1903 founding of Seward and also the Alaska Central Railway.
