Makgeolli
Strangely milky in appearance, Makgeolli is a Korean classic. But don’t feed it to the baby, this fermented mixture of boiled rice and wheat is between six and eight percent alcohol and is a popular choice within Korea’s well-developed drinking culture.Makgeolli bars abound in Seoul and make for a rollicking night out, or grab a (very cheap) bottle at the nearest convenience store and sit outside on a picnic bench with the locals.
