Pay your Respects before you Trek, Sinheungsa, Seoraksan National Park, Sokcho, South Korea.
I can never get enough good Buddha, especially in the mountains. There’s something about the mix of nature, Jesus-free religiosity and scented candles that makes me happy.
Save for the stunning gateway of cherry blossoms, this is the first thing we saw upon entering Seoraksan National Park. While many of the must see attractions in this country leave a lot to be desired, the national parks – and the natural beauty – never disappoint. Not sure where I’d rank Seoraksan on my list, but it’s somewhere near the top. If you ever land in Korea, make sure you discover a little something on the outskirts of Seoul.
