You'll find the Second Beach trail head located on La Push Rd on the Quileute Indian Reservation. After a 0.7 mile hike through the Olympic National Forest you'll emerge from the trees to a nest of driftwood clustered up to where the the trail meets the beach. Once you crawl past the wood, you'll find yourself on a sandy beach lined offshore with sea stacks and natural arches capping each end of the beach.
The hike is easy enough to make as a day hike for a beach picnic or back to the car for forgotten camping supplies. I highly suggest staying to camp for a few nights to enjoy some truly amazing sunsets on Second Beach. *If you plan to camp, grab a backpacking permit from the ranger station in either Forks or Port Angeles,WA.
