Fried potato heaven in Myeong-dong
Myeong-dong is a hip, young part of Seoul full of shopping and food. The street vendors are a huge hit, and these fried potatoes on a stick were the best of all the summer offerings. For about $2 USD, you get a whole baby potato, spiral cut and speared on a skewer. The potato is then deep fried and rolled in a salty, garlicky spice rub. It’s like the best homemade potato chips you’ve ever had. And for a few dollars more, you can add a hot dog to the skewer! If you’re in Seoul in the summer, I highly recommend this street snack.
