For safari goers, spotting the so-called Big Five is a common goal. These are five species—Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhinoceros—that are elusive and to see them all requires some persistence and determination or, at least, the assistance of Explorations. On its itinerary to South Africa and Botswana, you'll visit the Entabeni Conservancy in northern South Africa. There, guides will take you on a walking tour where they will share their secrets to tracking these species and others; the park is also home to cheetahs, giraffes, warthogs, and a remarkable number of bird species. It's one of seven safari experiences on the Explorations trip, so if you don't see all the species at Entabeni, you will have other opportunities.
