Swanky Island Eatery
While the moniker of this restaurant might inspire thoughts of a dive bar or chain retaurant, rest assured, it is neither. When you enter you are greeted by a chic hostess who will escort you to your table (Reservations are recommended, especially in high season.) As you listen to the mellow music in the background you can choose drinks from a hefty wine menu or cocktail menu while enjoying an amuse-bouche compliments of the chef. The food menu is a good variety of seafood mostly and, much of it is local and caught fresh off the coast of Aruba. The portions are generous and will leave you feeling satiated even if you don't order a full three courses although, leaving room for dessert is recommended! Within the main dining room there is a section of full/queen beds sectioned off by a gauzy curtain, available only by reservation, where you can have dinner in bed. While it is meant as an experience for couple celebrating a special occasion it could just be to celebrate your time in Aruba. Overall, it is reminiscent of somewhere that you might dine in New York City's ever trendy meatpacking district but, with an island flair all of it's own.
