Sayulita Cafe

Calle Revolucion 37, Zona Centro, 63734 Sayulita, Nay., Mexico

Along the busy stretch of Avenida Revolución, Sayulita Café is a sophisticated, unpretentious spot where chef-owner Miguel Muro turns out regional specialties such as molcajete azteca and mole. Nab a sidewalk table, start with a round of margaritas, and order what the locals eat: The chiles rellenos have a cult following. This appeared in the January/February 2014 issue.

Best Mexican in Sayulita

Just off the main square in Sayulita is a great restaurant that serves up delicious local cuisine. I ordered a unique entree which was basically a volcano bowl mix of meat with a red tomato chili simmer sauce, vegetables, cactus and cheese. Certainly, the best Mexican dish I’ve ever had. Ask for Miguel, the owner and he will sit with you and treat you well.
