Saranda may not be the prettiest of Albania's cities. What was once the pride of Albania's coast, is now an overdeveloped mess. But you can't knock Saranda for their sunsets. The clear sky turns pink, yellow, red or blue depending on the evening and is particularly stunning as you look over to the Greek island of Corfu. Saranda is a great place to use as a base for exploring the Albanian Riviera and inland destinations like Gjirokastra and the Blue Eye spring.
