San Pedro Square Market

First Stop For Foodies in San Jose
The San Pedro Square Market opened in 2011 and right away, it became THE place for dining and nightlife in San Jose. This brick-clad central market space was inspired by some of my favorite urban food markets such as Seattle’s Pike Place market and San Francisco’s Ferry Building.

They have a lot of food vendors, though I admit, I almost always go to the same stall--Pizza Bocca Luppo. Their wood-fired Napoli style pizza and unique toppings make it a good choice anytime. My other favorite spots are Loteria Taco Bar, Arepa Swing, Litle Chef Counter (poutine!), Treatbot, and the Market Beer Co.

If the weather's right (and it almost always is in San Jose!) enjoy the outdoor patio seating adjacent to the Peralta Adobe, the oldest building in San Jose.
