Charming the City by the Bay
If travel is a journey of self-discovery as much as it is an outward escape, then my recent revisit of fog city could not have been more enlightening. To find something new in a place I’ve known since childhood, I decided to become a new person myself - all dolled up as my gender opposite. Oh and what a free and liberating experience it was! For two whole days I was that cute Japanese tourist posing at all those famous San Francisco landmarks, including this one where Kim Novak’s character walks into the water in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “Vertigo.”
