Castillo de San Felipe del Morro
Work began on el Morro in 1539 and now, protected as a National Historic Site, travelers have the opportunity to walk through 500 years of its fascinating history. Go on a Sunday to see local Puerto Ricans participate in a Kite Festival on its open field. Also, it's neighbor Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery is not to be missed - a colonial-era cemetery for many of Puerto Rico's prominent residents.
