Modern Art Walk in Salzburg
Each year, one acclaimed contemporary artist is invited to create a sculpture for the old town of Salzburg. And seeing that the city has such immense historic heritage, the pieces not only stand in an interesting tension with each other, but with their settings aswell. Two highlights include the bust of a girl seemingly lost in a dream by Jaume Plensa, and Marina Abramovis’s interactive installation “Spirit of Mozart” of a 15 feet high chair surrounded by 8 smaller ones that the public is invited to sit on. Take a tour of Salzburg’s modern sights with Austria Guide Ms. Inez Reichl de Hoogh (+43-664 -4968011).
