Salybia, Trinidad and Tobago
STAYCATION | SO FAR BEHIND GOD’S BACK BUT SO SWEET…We left home for our favorite Chaguanas doubles for breaky (short for breakfast)...they were closed... and we ended up in Toco.
Toco is on the North eastern peninsular of Trinidad and Tobago... reevaluating instead of a quick Chaguanas doubles run, we now aimed to do two things...get crab and dumplings after months of craving it, and to visit both local resorts in that area, San Souci's Anise Resort and Spa and Salybia Nature Resort and Spa as part of a relaxing change in the midst of the Trini Carnival season.
Our entire journey was from Central Trinidad from about 6.50am, with directions that specified "it is a straight road, you cah go wrong". So we drove thinking we safe...a straight road and we go be good, it was one of my partners in crime and me.
Our first stop was for a mini-breaky that consisted of doubles...the road side vendor had dial, omg dial...for a first time, that sure comforted us. So we decided to give it a go...nice slightly salty but nice...this served to hold us nice until we can sit to a real breakfast that included the much needed morning coffee I didn't yet have.
