Salinas Grandes- Argentina
Trompe d'OeilYou've probably already figured out that I'm not actually standing on top of that water bottle. Ok, you're right. I was standing about 30 feet behind, posed and my friend snapped the photo.
The salt desert of Salinas Grande in Northwest Argentina is so vast, covering an expanse of 3,200 square miles, that perspective can easily be distorted and trick the eye.
It's a sight to behold - blinding white light that stretches to infinity. It feels as if you are standing on top of the world in the middle of nowhere.
