Leave the traffic behind when you pedal on the Salado Creek Greenway. Currently composed of 19 miles of paved trails that connect a number of neighborhoods and parks, the three marked pathways stretch north to south. The first, a 5-mile segment from Huebner Road to West Avenue, boasts parks, a farm settlement and even an archeological site. The second extends from McAllister Park to James Park for 6.5 miles with stunning hilltop vistas of the urban skyline. The southernmost and longest (at 7.5 miles) incorporates four parks, all with picnic tables, playgrounds, and other amenities.
