This delightful village sits atop a hill. It is an old medieval town with vine covered walls, narrow streets, corridors and stairwells. It is well known for modern day art as well as treasures from the past. There are many artists in residence, which makes it very colorful and rich. There are pretty much always tourists there, and in summer months it can be very crowded. We took a walk to the cemetery, and found it very quiet, relaxing and interesting. I highly recommend getting off the beaten path if you happen to find yourself in this quaint little town.
The hilltop village of St. Paul de Vence is quite a treat to stroll through. Overlooking the French Riviera on one side and countryside on the other, the medieval fixtures and cobblestone streets will fascinate and inspire. I became mildly obsessed with water fixtures and fountains.
