Saint John City Market

47 Charlotte St, Saint John, NB E2L 2H8, Canada

My hometown of Saint John, New Brunswick isn’t exactly Canada‘s tourist hot-spot. But there’s one great reason to visit, if your’e a foodie - The Saint John City Market. This is Canada‘s oldest incorporated farmers’ market and it’s always a bustling hive of activity. Not only can you find great local produce and seafood here, but lately, Saint John’s ethic communities have been frequenting the market too. Now you can find the best hummus in the city, ingredients for Szechuann cooking and, on my last visit, I dined on incredible Korean food. Of course you can still find truly local products like maple syrup, blueberries and dulse (salty dried seaweed we eat as a snack in Atlantic Canada.)
