A Little Peace
When everyone is in a hurry—to get to work, to make it to class, to catch up with the tour group—it’s important to find the city’s quiet pockets. If you find yourself on the west end of central Madrid, treat yourself to a moment of peace in the Jardines de Sabatini. These quaintly curated gardens beside the royal palace are good for photography practice, sunny strolls, and shaded rest. Far less expansive than Parque de El Retiro across town, the royal gardens make for a short and sweet stop on your way to the Temple of Debod or on your way out of the palace.
