One thing that you have to try when you dine at Rustique is the Mac n’ Cheese. It was voted best Mac n’ Cheese 3 years in a row at the Aspen Mac n’ Cheese Festival. Aspenites take their Mac n’ Cheese very seriously with majority of the restaurants having their own variation of the dish but Rustique's is hands down the best.
Walk into Rustique and feel as though you have been transported to a small French country inn with wood beams, hanging dried herbs and flowers, stucco walls and vintage shutters. To complete the French experience the food is served in caste iron pots and Le Creuset style dishware. The menu is an eclectic mix of traditional French fare like Escargots and Duck Confit A L’Orange to some riskier items like Le Grenouille: Frogs’ Legs with Parsley and Garlic and Calf’s Liver. The food is very rich but that is why it tastes so good.
