As we hiked in the Chittagong Hilltracts near Ruma, we came across this village holding a sports day. They immediately invited us to join in, and we played games with them for several hours. One was a version of "pin the tail on the donkey," with blindfolded contestants trying to hit a gong hanging on a line (much harder than you might think). A popular game was condom soccer, in which both old and young participated enthusiastically. The condoms were also used as balloons for the children - judging from the size of the families in this village, it didn't seem that many were being used for their intended purpose.
