Oktoberfest in Zagreb
Every September, Park Bundek swells with visitors when local restaurants, breweries and musicians set up camp for RujanFest, an 11-day feast on hearty Croatian specialties. Giant cast-iron cauldrons cook pork cutlets, sausages, chicken, veal and the occasional goat for kotlovina, a Croatian dish that stews all day while beer-guzzling cooks spit-roast lamb and pig. Enjoy live Tamburica music and domestic brews served in liter-size mugs in the Magic Beer Room, the festival's main drinking tent.
