Royal British Columbia Museum

Royal British Columbia Museum
The 1886 Royal British Columbia Museum shares the natural and human history of the area through its extensive collections. The Natural History wing focuses on animal life, from bird taxidermy and woolly mammoth fossils to a reconstruction of a Vancouver Island coastline during the late Cretaceous period. The Human History collections include a gallery devoted to First People as well as exhibits about settlers and the gold rush. The museum is located in the Inner Harbour next to the British Columbia Parliament buildings.
