Rossignol Estate Winery
Tours of the eight-hectare (20-acre) winery 50 minutes east of Charlottetown offer an inside look at the award-winning small-batch artisanal wine production, including seeing its stainless steel vats, fruit presses and oak barrels. Visitors also have a chance to sample the products and get personal recommendations from the winemakers. Although some conventional reds and whites are created at Rossignol, there are also some more unusual Canadian products, like maple, cranberry and blueberry wines. An on-site art gallery includes original paintings by Dagny, the wife of winemaker John Rossignol, as well as works by other local artists.
