Standing on a stunning beach in Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands of the Caribbean, I felt enveloped in the warmth of the sun and the breezes from the sea. The water lapped the shore, birds sang in the sea grape bushes, and a boat quietly slid past my beach.
I sat on my beach towel under an umbrella book in hand.I knew that today on Virgin Gorda would be as perfect a day as I could imagine. I was right.
Just think....sitting there and reading while the sea breezes flowed around me.
I was surprised to see that 2 hours had slipped away. Well, time for lunch and then maybe the Baths or some swimming?
The natural beauty of the island is laid out before you in the azure water, the white sand beaches and the nature trails.
Virgin Gorda is a small island with varied accommodations such as luxury resorts and villas, campgrounds, or inns and hotels. The choice is yours.
Sailing, fishing, swimming, boating and many other activities are available. Nearby Tortola, BVI is a short ferry ride away. (I've enjoyed this island several times on day trips). Anagada, BVI has absolutely breathtaking beaches and coral reefs. On Jost Van Dyke, BVI, there are a few small hotels, beach bars, and great beach BBQ's.
Virgin Gorda is an ideal vacation choice. Try to visit all the British Virgin Islands. It's so difficult to choose just one. The beauty of them will amaze you.
I suggest a good guidebook to point out the highlights of each island.
