What started in 2009 as an occasional happening organized by a trio of friends, the Mercato Monti is now a regular thing. Every Saturday and Sunday on via Leonina you will find stylish vintage sunglasses and designer purses, handmade beaded jewelry and quirky antiques. An ever changing repertoire of young local designers sell unique clothing and there is a DJ spinning lively tunes while you shop.
Early on Sunday mornings the streets between via Portuense and via Ippolito Nievo is Rome’s most famous flea market, the Porta Portese. Among the almost 1,000 stalls you will find fine antique furniture and vintage clothing as well as knock-off designer goods, DVD’s and books.
