Located near the entrance of Denali National Park, this kid-friendly 3.8-kilometer (2.4-mile) trail offers an easy introductory hike. Even though the trail isn’t that long, it is considered moderately strenuous given the 15 percent grade in the elevation climb. There are plenty of scenic spots along the tree-lined path, with clearings that offer great views of Mount Healy. For those who are more ambitious, the trail leads to more advanced hikes, such as the Triple Lakes and Savage Alpine trails.
