Savannah's Squares: Perfect for Lemonade and People Watching
Savannah, Georgia, is routinely voted the most walkable city in America and rightly so - the town is arranged in an easy-to-navigate grid with four main scenic squares laid out where the streets intersect.

The squares are one of the best things about Savannah, and I haven't found anything like them in any other town in the South. Some squares are small, some large, some with bubbling fountains, others imposing statues. All of them, though, are quite beautiful and add to Savannah's abundant charm.

If you visit Savannah during the warmer days of summer, one of the best things to do is grab a sandwich and ice-cold lemonade or sweet tea and pick out at bench in your favorite square to enjoy your lunch and people watch. Whether you're visiting with your kids in tow or it's a romantic getaway for just the two of you, Savannah's beautiful squares are the perfect places to soak in the magic this town has to offer.
